It’s a code translator that the Facebook team made that converts the PHP code to C++, allowing them to compile it. Since compiled code runs much faster than interpreted code (except ASP/ASP.NET, which just sucks in general) it allows them to accomplish much faster loading times.
As well, it’s not only the code that allows them to do such. You have to consider that they’re running constant queries to their databases, thus their queries have to be top-notch. Writing a query well will significantly reduce the amount of time it takes to pull from the database. This includes indexes, proper queries, using prepared statements when need be, and database optimization.

Having a whole databank of servers does NOT make your website run faster. In fact, it adds overhead to the whole process, thus potentially increasing loading times. So there’s both answers proven wrong.
What HipHop did for them was significantly reduced the server load and time required to process the code, thus allowing them to process more on one server, and compile their code. The only con of that was losing some commands such as eval().
I personally compile my PHP source and use it as such. You also have to ensure that when you write it, it’s properly structured and that the best practices are used. This will also significantly reduce processing time and load.

You basically eat all the veggies you want, 5 servings of fruit, lean meats-grilled chicken, turkey, low fat ice cream, 1 square of dark chocolate, and boiled eggs. This diet is not a fad quick diet. If you look into it you’ll notice it goes for as long as it takes to lose the weight by repeating the first 3 cycles. Once you are at the weight you want you go to the fourth cycle which basically teaches you portion control. I love it, I started 2 days ago and the lunches arent that great but both dinners ive had are awesome. The book is an easy read an I lost 2 lbs in the first day. There is a lot of green tea and water though, and the first cycle is very strict, but it is worth it. Not only do you lose weight but you feel better. In 2 days I wake up feeling refreshed instead of groggy and bloated. And it def doesn’t leave you hungry at all! Your plenty full. I highly recommend it

Sorry hun I didn’t see that but I know that Zumba does a 10 day work out and diet plan as part of their online shop. Its really good exercise alone and I mixed it with a different diet.

Just be careful on fast track diets as they can make you lose loads but if your not exercising you will gain it quickly again after the diet has stopped. And they should only be done for the length of time stated and not longer.

But I think style wise, H&M is much more sophisticated and chic. Forever 21 sometimes has good stuff, but H&M is more fashion-y. I also think Forever 21 is more for younger girls. I much rather prefer H&M.

You’re going to have to choose between Yahoo and FF or get the FF updates FOR Yahoo, which is probably the better choice of the two.

Out of my experience: FlashGot, as well as – not surprisingly – all the extensions which, by their nature, require connecting to some server (weather forecasts and the like).

But since there’s thousands of add-ons, and thus chances are that I don’t use the same ones as you do: the best thing you can do is just to disable them one by one (go to Tools / Add-ons), then measure how long it takes for Firefox to boot up each time. This will allow you to single out the worst “offenders”.

Also clear up the cache and browser history, perhaps try decreasing the cache size, use some tool for optimizing Firefox databases (Speedyfox for example), there’s many ways to speed Firefox up.

Good news is that the upcoming versions of Firefox are supposed to be improved in the areas of speed and responsiveness (the raising popularity of fast and snappy Google Chrome forced them to focus on it)
